Emma Brown BVSC PG Dip MRCVS
I qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon in 2001 and have been working in mixed practice since. Over time I became increasingly interested in the links between disease and animal behaviour and especially how an understanding of behaviour can enhance the owner animal bond and improve the welfare of the animals that share our lives.
As this interest developed I began to see increasing numbers of behaviour cases and to attend further training in this area. In 2014 I completed a post graduate diploma in Applied Animal Behaviour and Welfare at Newcastle University.
How to make an appointment
If you are a registered client with Castle Veterinary Group simply call in to collect a pre-consultation questionnaire. Once this is completed and returned I will contact you to discuss the case further and arrange a consultation.
If your pet is registered with another veterinary surgery please make an appointment with them for a full check over (this is to rule out any medical conditions which may be affecting your pets behaviour) and request a referral. Once we receive a referral request I will send you a questionnaire to complete and then on receipt of this will call to discuss the case and arrange a consultation.
Veterinary surgeons please visit the veterinary referral page for information on how to contact me or refer a case.
