Castle Vets are a long standing independent Veterinary Practice. Our main premises is based in the market town of Launceston, on the border of Devon and Cornwall and our second branch is located in Liskeard.

Both premises are modern, easily accessible and have plenty of parking. Our Launceston practice is the largest of the two, where we are able to provide consultations, surgery requirements, 24-hour nursing care and is conveniently located just off the A30.

At our Liskeard branch we have the facilities and equipment to enable us to offer veterinary consultations and treatment for most of the problems that we see in dogs, cats and other small companion animals. We do not have facilities for surgery or intensive inpatient care at Liskeard, therefore you may be required to attend our Launceston surgery for some treatments.

We are proud to do all our own out of hours emergency work which will be carried out at our Launceston practice.

We are very fortunate to have an amazing team of experienced vets and veterinary nurses across both practices, supported by knowledgeable, helpful and friendly reception teams.

We do our very best to provide an exceptional level of veterinary care for our patients whilst taking into account the wishes and budget of our clients.

Rest assured that if you have an urgent need for veterinary help outside normal working hours, you can simply phone our Launceston number and you will be able to speak to one of our vets who will then provide advice or arrange an emergency consultation as needed.

Apart from animal charities, it must be one of the hardest jobs in the world watching real animal lovers lose their family or having to give awful news, so hats off to all of you. Ive been here for the cats injections and the horrible times, and going through a horrible time right now, but I know puss is in great hands, the only reason I haven't given a 5 star is because sometimes I find the place a little cold of emotion, but then.. I get that... I guess its hard to say everything will ok sometimes when both parties know it won't be.
